The software is called Unified MBX (UMBX) is a targeted as a Mobile PBX or FMC solution. The software will support business telephony in it;s entirety with the mobile phone acting as the primary office extension. Included within the release of the product is a feature rich open fund IP PBX telephone systems which has been chosen to offer businesses full IP telephony without the necessary expense of the proprietary telephone hardware or the OS (operating systems) licenses. The service provider themselves will then be able to deliver this solution as SaaS or Software as a Service
The latest UMBX 4.1 release will add multitenancy, full carrier grade high availability 99.999%, and total high end scalability for up to 25,000 users per hosted server instance. The release also supports new SIP call flows programs to remove the “call tromboning” barriers, supporting existing equipment, by keeping the voice media stream in fact in the mobile operator’s cellular network.
