Mobile PBX and Hosted MBX technology has been made possible due to the advent of VoIP communication.

MBX is a software based solution which operates as a client-server set up enable mobile phones full interaction with either a local or remotely hosted PBX system. Once set up the mobile phone(s) act as a mobile office extension allowing the user complete mobility, totalling replacing the need for a deskphone.

Mobile PBX and MBX technology operates using GSM and 3G based technnology over any mobile network (or WiFi) and can be used in any country that supports international roaming facilites.

Telephone lines are typically terminated onto the PBX platform via either ISDN, SIP, H.323/H.245 and GSM standards. Hosted MBX operators offer fully redundant platforms to help provide resiliance.
